About Us

The Jessop Tavern View is an amalgam of the views of two (early) 30-somethings who love cricket, specifically Gloucestershire cricket. Ever since we witnessed David Graveney take a catch between his knees in the late 80s, we have been fascinated by goings on at Nevil Road. We often wonder what Gloucestershire CCC have done to justify this love in the last few seasons. Ok, we used to be great at one day cricket, but those days have now passed.

We grew up in Glos and were, for several years, Club members. Real life has now taken us away from those green pastures. We are now limited to occasional live matches, even rarer live games on Sky, trips to the Cheltenham Festival and the mighty internet. The Jessop Tavern View feels the amount of useful information about the 'Shire could be written on the back of a postage stamp. This blog has been created to fill up some of that space.

The Jessop Tavern View welcomes your thoughts, comment and criticisms. We hope you enjoy it. You can even Tweet us on @jessoptavern if you're into that kind of thing.
